Baja Fish and Avocado Tostada
This Baja Fish and Avocado Tostada is a delightful combination of crispy fish, creamy avocado, and fresh toppings piled onto a crunchy tostada shell. Its bursting with flavor and texture, making it a perfect dish for any seafood lover.
Ingredients:
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tostada shells
- 2 avocados, mashed
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- Sour cream for topping optional
- Hot sauce for topping optional
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
In a small bowl, mix chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Rub the spice mixture over both sides of the tilapia fillets
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
Cook tilapia fillets for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned and cooked through
Place tostada shells on a baking sheet and warm in the oven for 3-4 minutes
In a separate bowl, combine mashed avocados, lime juice, and cilantro to make guacamole
Spread guacamole evenly over each tostada shell
Top each tostada with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and a cooked tilapia fillet
Optional: Add a dollop of sour cream and a drizzle of hot sauce on top
Serve immediately and enjoy
