Cheesy Bacon and Pea Pasta
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces about 2 cups of pasta
- 8 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Pasta should be cooked as directed on the package until it is al dente
After draining, set aside
Cook the chopped bacon in a big skillet over medium-high heat until its crispy
After taking the bacon out of the skillet, pat dry with paper towels
In the skillet, set aside about 2 tablespoons of bacon grease
When the garlic is fragrant, add it to the skillet with the bacon grease and saut it for about a minute
When the frozen peas are thoroughly heated, add them to the skillet and cook for two to three minutes
Return the cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the skillet after lowering the heat to a low level
Mix everything together by stirring
After adding the heavy cream, stir everything together thoroughly
To the skillet, add the grated Parmesan and the shredded cheddar cheese
Until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth, stir constantly
Add salt and black pepper to taste when preparing the pasta
Take the skillet off of the burner and sprinkle some fresh parsley on top
Enjoy the hot, cheesy bacon and pea pasta
