Paleo Swedish Meatballs
For individuals on a Paleo diet, these Paleo Swedish Meatballs are a tasty and filling dish. These tender and flavorful meatballs are made with a mixture of ground beef and pork and seasoned with a variety of aromatic spices. Savor them with a main course or as an appetizer.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp ghee or coconut oil for frying
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork
In a separate bowl, mix together almond flour, coconut milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, allspice, and nutmeg until well combined
Pour the almond flour mixture into the meat mixture and mix thoroughly
Form the meat mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter
In a skillet, heat ghee or coconut oil over medium heat
Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook until they are browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes
Serve the Paleo Swedish Meatballs with your favorite Paleo-friendly sauce or gravy
