Savory Herb Roasted Chicken

This savory herb roasted chicken is bursting with flavor from a blend of aromatic herbs and spices. Its perfect for a cozy family dinner or a special gathering with friends.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken, about 4 pounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons dried sage
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375F 190C

Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, thyme, rosemary, sage, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

Rub the herb mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin if possible

Place the chicken in a roasting pan breast side up

Roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the juices run clear and the internal temperature reaches 165F 75C in the thickest part of the thigh

Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving

Serve hot and enjoy
