Fourth of July Sangria
A cool and colorful sangria thats great for the Fourth of July. Great for the 4th of July, this drink is made with fresh fruits and a mix of wine and spirits.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 lime, sliced
- 2 cups sparkling water or lemon-lime soda, chilled
Instructions:
In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and orange juice
Add the sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, orange slices, lemon slices, and lime slices to the pitcher
Stir gently to combine all ingredients
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld
When ready to serve, add chilled sparkling water or lemon-lime soda to the pitcher and stir gently
Serve the sangria over ice in glasses, making sure to include some fruit in each serving
Garnish with additional fruit slices if desired
